I met a worker while driving for Lyft. At the time I had no idea that I would be using their services. Not all of the staff care or are helpful. I don't think many of them have much training on how to deal with different mental/behavioral disorders; as I was under the impression they're well trained. However, I was told that they don't just throw people out on the streets and basically that's what happened to my daughter when they didn't know how to deal with her..... she is newly diagnosed with bipolar depression. A staff member by the name of Alex is the head of the outpatient program and appears to not be able to show empathy or even communicate professionally; he'd refuse to communicate with me whenever I'd requested. The only reason I'm giving 3 stars is because initially, they were proactive and I believe in my heart the program has good intentions. Since this place is non-profit, that may explain why the shortcomings exist. I would not recommend them for anyone who is dealing with newly diagnosed mental/behavioral disorders. They should be completely stabilized first.

This place is honestly the best I've ever been to. All staff here have been afflicted by the disease of addiction in one way or another. They are so patient and understanding of clients and staff. I'm still in the program , as well they still go above and beyond.

I'm forever grateful to The Discovery House. The staff and counselors really do care about you. I was able to work through my issues and learn a better way of coping with life. Their program really does work if you put in some effort. I highly recommend TDH

As a resident I couldn't have been more blessed than to have ended up here at The Discovery House! I had lost myself to my addiction after over 15 years of continuous sobriety and was unfortunately not able to see my own fall to a new bottom without loosing all that was dear to me such as my 20 year marriage to my wife by being served with divorce papers two weeks into my recovery. Landing here was an pure act of God working in my life and since being here I have began to see and discover my reasons for relapse and begin the healing process that I can only pray will transcend into my marriage. After having three horrible experiences, there could never ever be any comparisons made to the staff, facility, medical program and general format just over all being focused on the resident. That being said, it's no wonder their success is how high that it is. You could not hope for a better substance or drug and alcohol treatment for yourself or a loved one. I couldn't be happier with my decision.

Words can’t describe the respect and gratitude I have for the wonderful staff at The Discovery House. As a Parent of an addict, I was encouraged to partake in he family counseling offered at the treatment center. I couldn’t be more impressed with the deep level of care, understanding and flexibility in the way they adjust the treatment for each individual client. When one mode didn’t seem to work, they would change the direction. The facilities are beautiful but it is the owners and staff that make this treatment center as good as it is. As my son frequently reminds me, they hold you accountable for your behavior and keep a high level of structure in the day to day treatment. I will forever be grateful to everyone at TDH.

Hands down, they are one of the Best facilities I have seen. Unfortunately, My Son has been in and out of detox and rehab facilities for the past 5 years. By far, Discovery House is the best. They have an awesome, caring staff. I could tell they were very concerned and involved with their clients. If you are a parent and get your kid into Discovery House, you will finally be able to rest easy while he/she is there. I have worried myself sick the last 5 years. This is the first time I have ever been able to get a good night's sleep and was able to have more concentration on other things beside my Son. If you need help, you will feel loved and taken care of. If you are a parent, you will finally feel there is hope. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

I have been at The Discovery House for roughly 6 weeks now and I can say with assurance that they are unlike any program I have attended in the past. When I look back on where I was before entering TDH, it's sometimes hard for me to believe the progress I've made. I've truly turned my life around and I owe that to The Discovery House. The counselors and staff work hard and thoughtfully to advance each client individually while also creating a safe environment to hone real-life social skills. Their approach to recovery is so comprehensive. I wish more treatment centers would catch on and adopt a similar system. The skills and tools I've acquired here at TDH are working in my life today on all fronts. Thank you Discovery House for all that you do!

I am just about to leave The Discovery House's outpatient house after almost 6 months of treatment. When I came to TDH it was because I had no where else to go and was desperate. What I found here has given me the opportunity to start a new life. One that I can be proud of. The facility is very comfortable with all of the major amenities. The food is good but for the sake of honesty it could be better (this is my only criticism, sorry Jeff). The treatment you receive is top notch. I have been to a few treatment centers and could never knock out more than 30 days without falling back into the grips of active addiction. The program director makes sure that you are working with a counselor who can deal with the issues that would prevent you from living an active and fulfilling life and is a strict enforcer of the open door policy. I owe my life to The Discovery House. P.S. In my opinion, The Discovery House is an asset to the community. The facility looks nicer than most houses in the surrounding area. The Discovery House is also active in the community.
